VP, Kymab Informatics and IT

Dave was appointed VP Informatics and IT in September 2021 having joined Kymab in 2015. Dave has over 25 years technical and leadership experience in informatics and artificial intelligence.

Dave stared his career as a computer scientist, gaining a first from Aberdeen University in 1989, followed by a PhD in artificial intelligence at Aberdeen. Dave also held post-doctoral positions with the Speech Vision and Robotics group at Cambridge University - working closely with the department of Clinical Biochemistry and the Cambridge Clinical School. Before joining Kymab, Dave spent 13 years at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute developing tools and supporting and managing institute, informatics, contributions to a number of international collaborations.
